The This Morning team confirmed the sad news via their official Twitter account.
A tweet sent this morning read: "Such sad news - our friend and colleague Denise Robertson has lost her short but determined battle against cancer. Full tribute at 10.30."
Denise was 83 years old.
The beloved agony aunt announced that she was battling pancreatic cancer in February.

She said at the time: "I'm sorry I've not been around for a couple of weeks but a persistent health issue has turned into something quite a lot bigger."I've been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
"It has come as a surprise to me and my family but we know that many others have suffered and dealt with this condition and I don't plan to give up without a fight.
"My doctor is referring me for chemotherapy and hopefully that will start soon."

Ruth Langsford and Rylan Clark announced on air that Robertson would be taking a backseat as she bravely battled her illness.
Denise was This Morning's resident agony aunt since 1988 and was a viewers' favourite all the way up until her final appearances.
Robertson also frequented the Big Brother Bit On The Side studio on many occasions.

The Sunderland star is survived by her husband Bryan Thubron and her son Mark, as well as her four stepsons, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was previously married twice, but married childhood sweetheart Bryan in 1997.
Denise was awarded an MBE in 2006 for services to broadcasting and to charity.
After news of Denise's death was announced, celebrity friends and colleagues rushed to social media to pay tribute.
This Morning's Phillip Schofield wrote: "I'm heartbroken at the passing of our @itvthismorning icon Denise Robertson. Kind, thoughtful, caring & wonderful."
Rylan Clark shared pictures of the star and tweeted: "Devastated. The nicest and kindest woman in tele. Will miss her so much. She'll always be the only woman for me."
Amanda Holden wrote: "So shocked and saddened to hear the news about #DeniseRobertson she will be missed terribly."

DRAMATIC footage shows the moment a man taking a selfie is gunned down – but catches the shooter on camera.
The 31-year-old victim was recording himself for a live video on Facebook when shots rang out and he fell to the floor.

Lying motionless on the floor, his camera kept rolling and captured the scene as the gunman stood over him and kept shooting.
After 16 shots were fired, people were heard screaming "oh my god no" and "I don't believe this" while pleading for help getting to hospital.

The stunning scenes unfolded yesterday afternoon outside a store in the West Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Police confirmed the man was shot multiple times, taking bullets to the face and groin before being rushed to hospital.
Miraculously, the victim survived the attack and is now in critical condition at the city's Mount Sinai Hospital.
After the shooting, the video emerged on Facebook and Twitter, where it has now been seen thousands of times.
Officer Veejay Zala of the Chicago Police Department: "[We are] working to validate the authenticity of the video."
But a law enforcement source told the Chicago Tribune the events depicted on the video are consistent with witness accounts.
A police source quoted by American news station, FOX6, said the shooting may have involved a gang member.
