MMM Nigeria has not crashed-Financial Watch

There has been some reports flying around about a purported folding up of Ponzi Scheme, MMM Nigeria in Lagos which have sent “investors” in the scheme into early panic. According to FINANCIAL WATCH, those reports are totally false.

Although, financial analysts believe MMM Nigeria’s crash will happen at some point but nobody knows when. Already, there has been been several warnings from Nigeria’s Security and exchange commission (SEC) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to Nigerians against investing in such ponzi schemes.
Despite all these warnings, MMM is gaining more grounds in Nigeria. Participants are happy and increasing in number. You would recall that MMM Nigeria clocked One Million members on Independence day. While some Nigerians were lamenting on the failed government and economic hardship, MMM members were laughing to the banks and celebrating Independence in styles.

Liverpool target's agent refuses to rule out move and insists: Plenty of clubs want him

GEOFFREY KONDOGBIA's agent has confirmed that several club are interested in the midfielder and has not ruled out him leaving Inter Milan in January.
By Marc Williams
TARGET: Liverpool could make a move for Geoffrey Kondogbia in January
Reports in Italy earlier this week claimed that Liverpool are keen on signing Kondogbia on a short-term loan when the transfer window reopens.
Italian outlet Web Calcio say Jurgen Klopp is keen on adding his power and versatility to the Reds squad and is willing to pay his full wages until the end of the season.
Agent Jonathan Maarek insists Kondogbia is happy at Inter but admits he does not know what the Serie A giants have planned for the Frenchman.
"Despite the current situation, Geoffrey is relaxed. There are no problems and he is happy at Inter," Maarek told TuttoMercatoWeb.
"Kondogbia is certainly a top level player. He has a lot of quality and is very young, so obviously he has a lot of clubs interested in him.
"Can I name them? I will just say that he is not lacking interested clubs."
"I don't know what the dynamics within the club are, but he is happy at Inter and wants to do well with this jersey."
Kondogbia moved from Monaco to Inter for £27m in June 2015, signing a five-year contract.
The 23-year-old has, however, struggled for form and fitness this season and been left out of Inter's last two games after being criticised by boss Frank de Boer.
After an error in Inter's 1-1 draw with Bologna last month, De Boer said: "We already talked about this and he makes the same mistakes often. We cannot accept that from players when we’ve told them many times already."

WHEN THEY CALL IT A SCAM,  SHARE THIS WITH THEM

Is MMM really a scam?

Is it a scam to have a system that brings a community of people together that financially help one another, willfully, without being forced?

Is it a scam to have a system that creates a platform for individuals to combat poverty at its core?
We always say fighting poverty is a collective effort; Now instead of people stealing, cheating or robbing they join their hands in good heart to provide financially help to one another, is that scamming really?

Is it a scam to see families that couldn't afford to bring food on the table now able because of the financial help they have received from other nembers?

Is it a scam to see students who couldn't afford to have pocket money and monthly allowances in tertiary institutions now able to afford because of MMM?

Is it a scam to see entrepreneurs rising from the capital money raised through MMM and in return they contribute to the economic growth of this country and create employment to thousands?

I will tell you what a scam is?

๐Ÿ”นA real scam is to hinder people to their financial freedom yet encourage them to keep borrowing from your system so that they work for you and pay the rest of their lives if they live that long...

๐Ÿ”นA real scam is to have someone work 40 years of his/her life and after retirement that person must take the fruit of his/her years of hard labour and pay the debts and bonds that refused to end because of ever increasing interest rates.

๐Ÿ”นA scam is when your bank sends you an sms alert to inform you that you have earned #0. 50  on your money, and later charge you #4. 00 on the sms alert.  Your bank also charges you exorbitantly every month on something you know nothing about ; and there's nothing you can do other than to keep quiet because you have no choice.

๐Ÿ”นA scam is when your mobile network provider charges you on the service you never make a request for (caller tunes, news updates, etc)

๐Ÿ”นWorking for a government and being paid the same salary as when 1 Dollar was N165 till now is a scam.

๐Ÿ”นWorking for government for years without promotion is a scam.

๐Ÿ”นWorking for so long and just getting a sack letter or retiring broke and in debt is a scam.

๐Ÿ”นServing your country for one year and crying to get a job is a scam.

๐Ÿ”นNot being paid salaries for 5 months or more is a SCAM.

๐Ÿ”นNot being able to transfer your job to your children is a SCAM.

๐Ÿ”นSpending 6 years in Primary school, 6 years in Secondary School, 4, 5, 6 years in Higher Institution, 1 year Internship (for some) 1year of NYSC and at the end you still roam about looking for non-existing job is the REAL Scam.

Meanwhile someone somewhere is enjoying financial freedom, making millions, driving brand new cars etc all in joining MMM without submitting CV, NYSC discharge Certificate etc....and people still say it's a  scam?

Is it therefore a scam to have a system that produces people that can afford to buy a house they could have paid for 20 years in cash had such a system not been introduced?

Is MMM a scam? You can make your own judgment as to who a real scammer is.

Please share this message everywhere, the world needs to hear it.

MMM NIGERIA in the next one month.

As unemployment, lay-offs and low borrowing hit Nigeria hard, MMM came,

offering participants an online Nigerian community that can give thirty
percent rewards on their donations to each other.

MMM Nigeria has been greeted with applause from many and tough criticism

and scepticism from others. From the security man who has to live on
peanuts to the chief executive who cannot access bank loans, everyone
seems to feel richer and comfortable not necessarily because they have a
lot of cash but because they have "confidence" that whenever they need
cash, they have a community that can donate to them. This is what MMM
claims is its ideology. Love over selfishness. For these people, MMM is a
saviour and they won't allow any criticism change their view. It is
amazing to see thousands of Nigerians donating to each other.

Some other people don't buy this. They believe "it’s too good to be

true". They believe MMM is a Ponzi scheme because it allegedly needs new
members to continue to thrive.

MMM Nigeria has however continued to grow even with bad media, something

that really worries the critics and spectators. MMM Nigeria
participants spend millions of naira monthly giving to thousands of less
privilege persons in hospitals and orphanage homes, spending time with
them in almost every state in Nigeria.

According to their website (www (dot) nigeria (dash) mmm (dot) net)

and hundreds of participants interviewed, thousands of Nigerians have
benefited from donations they provide to each other through the MMM
platform. A participant, Ade, got donations of about N900,000.00 donations
to pay for his medical bills after previously donating N500,000.00.

MMM boasts of transparency by having no central account (so the money

cannot be easily stolen) and being truthful with participants. MMM
strongly warns participants to donate only spare money and stick to the
ideology of helping each other. MMM resists those who want to get rich
quick on its platform by putting limitations on possible donations (ten
thousand dollars) and removing participants with multiple accounts.

These moves by MMM seem not to impress critics, they argue that MMM has

collapsed severally first in Russia, South Africa and recently Zimbabwe.
Research shows the Russian government in 1994 saw MMM as a threat and
seized millions of participants monies in the MMM head office thereby
leading to the collapse. The Russian government excuse was "MMM didn't
pay taxes". It is hard to trust a Russian government who jailed and
killed Nicolai (a foremost economist) by a firing squad for simply
predicting the fall of socialism. The founder of MMM was arrested for
not paying taxes (which was impossible because there was no law in
Russia to tax a joint stock company for selling stocks) and later
released when he was voted into parliament in millions of Russians.
Clearly, they didn't see him as the person who stole their money, they
knew what their government had done hence the overwhelming vote.

South African banks and media strongly believed MMM was a threat to

their economy. The media trial created a panic among participants who
didn't really understand the MMM ideology thereby leading to a panic.
People stopped donating to each other. The media apologised to MMM after
the disaster and banks unfroze accounts of participants. MMM South
Africa restarted and became stronger (www (dot) rsa (dash) mmm (dot) net).

The Zimbabwe story is what is completely untrue. I personally reached

out to hundreds of Zimbabweans (participants and non-participants). It
is really surprising who is sponsoring such lies, a Zimbabwe participant
said. Another Zimbabwe participant said "only some Nigerian online
media are broadcasting this false news". A simple google search of "MMM
Zimbabwe" reveals only Nigerian media carried the news which had been
posted months back by a Zimbabwe blog. The news was edited to paint MMM
Zimbabwe as dead. According to Zimbabweans, the Zimbabwean structure
was remodelled to become like the Nigerian structure (which is one of
the strongest in the world). They moved from 100% rewards to 20% rewards
on their donations. Why Nigeria media carried a false news and why it
happened at the same time remains unknown.

What is clear is thousands of MMM participants in Nigeria are spending

even in a recession thereby keeping a lot of small and big businesses
afloat. MMM participants are also able to finance their entrepreneurial
dreams with donations received thereby creating jobs. An edge
non-participants really envy.

The job seekers, students and pensioners are able to search, study and

live happily knowing if they need help, they have a solid community that
can come to their aide.

Smart businesses are seeking the patronage of MMM participants because

they seem to be able to live comfortable in a recession. One of the MMM
Nigerian participants wrote "we don't have billions individually but we
have so much as a community".

I sought to inquire if cheap money is good for the economy. A

participant replied me "Do you know how hard it is to convince you that
MMM is real? It’s not cheap money. I spent days convincing my family to
participate in MMM. Its hard work. I work as a clerk. My boss can't give
me a raise because we have lost most of our customers. I haven't been
paid for months. MMM is the only reason I can still come to work and not
beg for money to pay my children school fees, feeding and rent. Would
you say it’s bad for the economy?" He asked.

My final question to this participant was "how long will MMM Nigeria

last?” He said “as long as we refuse to panic and keep helping each
other. Divided we fall, together we will change our world. We must audit
every news and verify every rumour. We must be wary of friends who are
waiting to laugh at us. They can't be our source of news or information.
We must be strong and surround ourselves with like-minded people. This
way MMM Nigeria will last for a long time".

My prediction: MMM Nigeria's future in the next one week, one month, one

year is in the hands of its participants. If they keep providing
helping to each other, we will be unable to break them no matter what we
do. Their destiny is in the collective togetherness.

Actress falls spectacularly on red carpet – and the cameras catch every second

WHEN it comes to falling over, the red carpet in front of the world's press isn't the most ideal place to do it.

Moon So-Ri at Venice Film FestivalGREEN GODDESS: South Korean actress Moon looked stunning at the premiere
Unfortunately, sometimes heels and a long train leave you with no choice.
Actress Moon So-ri absolutely stacked it at the Venice Film Festival, resulting in a frame-by-frame depiction of her dramatic fall.
The 42-year-old is a judge at the 73rd Venice Film Festival in the Orizzonti section, and made an appearance at the premiere of The Light Between Oceans.

The South Korean actress embodied old school glamour in a emerald green gown teamed with strings of pearls.
The classic dress featured a long train attached at the waist, which was tricky when accompanied by Moon's towering heels.
Although the star initially looked graceful as she posed for the cameras, she soon struggled when moving down the red carpet.

Robert Mugabe and, inset, anti-government protests in Harare, ZimbabweHEALTH WOES: Robert Mugabe is rumoured to have died after a sudden flight to Dubai
The Zimbabwean tyrant took off early from a key summit of African nations on Tuesday before flying overseas.
His presidential plane was headed for Singapore, according to local media, where he’s received medical treatment in the past.
But the jet made a sharp turn, rerouting for Dubai in the United Arab Emirates as his health rapidly deteriorated, Zimbabwe Newsday reports.
Robert Mugabe during a visit to Singapore, 2013HEALTH TOURIST: Robert Mugabe during a past visit to Singapore in 2013
A spokesman for the 92-year-old despot refused to deny rumours that Mugabe was ill, further fuelling speculation that he had died.
Now opposition leaders are calling for the ageing autocrat, who has held power since 1987, to stand down from high office.
Mugabe is still holed up in a Dubai hospital, according to Zimbabwean media, though there’s no official comment on his condition.
Claims that he had suffered a brain haemorrhage were ruled out by a family member, who told Zimbabwe Newsday he’d gone for a routine checkup.
The same website described rumours of Mugabe’s death as far-fetched, but conceded that the events surrounding his movements lent them "much more weight".
Spokesman George Charamba told reporters: "Each time you people don’t know the purpose of the president’s visit, there is always a default explanation that he is ill.
"If I don’t tell you the purpose, it should be illness. I will not give you the purpose of the president’s visit to run away from the default explanation.
"This is not new. It is year in, year out; he is sick, he dies and resurrects. His life until the age of 92 revolves around illness and death."
Morgan Tsvangirai speaks to reporters, 2008OPPOSITION: Morgan Tsvangirai, who has been Mugabe's main opposition for years
A government official quoted by New Zimbabwe said the tyrant’s sudden flight was down to a long-term battle with prostate cancer.
One source said he was picking up family en-route to Singapore; another said he was in the Middle East on private business.
In any case, the dictator’s overseas treatment trips have caused a storm among opposition leaders back in Zimbabwe.
He’s also been blamed for running down his country’s own healthcare system while enjoying top treatment overseas.
A spokesman for opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai said Mugabe’s foreign travels were already a serious burden for the treasury.
They said: "In as much as we sympathise with Mugabe over his health problems, we urge him to search his soul and conscience.
"He must see that in his current physical shape and going towards 93, it is not good to cling onto power."
A spokesman for the People’s Democratic Party said his people hung their heads in shame at the state of their president.
