Arsenal's Jack Wilshere 'proposes to girlfriend Andriani Michael'

JACK Wilshere has reportedly popped the question to his glamorous girlfriend.

The Arsenal footballer was filmed getting down on one knee at his girlfriend Andriani Michael's surprise birthday.

The midfielder is said to have taken Andriani to to posh London venues Shaka Zulu and Gilgamesh to celebrate her birthday.

And in a room decorated with balloons, as well as giant letters spelling her nickname 'Drou', he proposed.

"He told her they were going for dinner but had hired the restaurant and invited 200," a friend said, according to The Sun.

They add that he gave her a ring – and considering his wage is reportedly £90,000 a week, we bet it was a dazzler.

In a video, the 24-year-old says: "I hope she knows how much I love her."

He then adds: "This year has not been a great year for me."

Some of the 200 guests are said to have included his Jack's teammates Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck.

Mrs Wilshere-to-be is the daughter of Jack's barber and minder and is his first girlfriend since splitting from mother of his two children, Lauren Neal.

Last week, Jack took part in a Twitter Q&A which turned slightly awkward, to say the least.

Fans didn't hold back, asking questions including: "What prison do you reckon you'd be in if you weren't living off a game against Barca 6 years ago?"
