Ahead of the commissioning of the Cross River State garment factory, lawmakers representing the state at the National Assembly have commended Governor Ben Ayade for the establishment of the factory.
The establishment of the factory, according to them, would have a multiplier effect and impact tremendously on the state and its citizenry.
While being taken round the factory situated along the Goodluck Jonathan byepass by Governor Ayade, the lawmakers noted that the project would reposition the state economically through the provision of employment opportunities among others.
Speaking further, they said that the factory would boost direct and indirect channels for diversification of the economy.
