A WARPED predator who groomed a 15-year-old girl online before she was raped and murdered has been battered by other prisoners.

SICK: Luke Harlow was beaten in prison

Luke Harlow, 28, was left with a black eye in the horror attack.

Nottingham Crown Court heard grim details about how Stephen Beadman, 29, fatally attacked Kayleigh with a brick in a remote field near Ibstock, Leics., last November.

The violent landscape gardener had raped her after sick Harlow groomed her online.

Kayleigh was alive for one hour after the brutal attack, the court heard.

Harlow — a horror film fan who used the online name FunTimes and billed himself as a "professional serial killer" on Twitter — pleaded guilty to grooming Kayleigh and engaging in sexual activity with her.

Since his arrest, the pervert has been subjected to violent beatings in jail.

Inmates hate him and have punched him repeatedly, the court was told.

Gary Bell, defending Harlow, said: "He understands the damage he has done.

"He comes from a good family and his own life is in ruins as a result of his actions.

"He has suffered depression in the past and has self-harmed."

Miranda Moore, prosecuting, said Harlow "played Jack the Lad" to impress Beadman and lured Kayleigh to his home before plying her with booze.

She said: "This was not spontaneous.

"Beadman took her to a remote area knowing he was going to kill her.

"She did not die immediately.

Both Harlow and Beadman will be sentenced this afternoon.
