FENERBAHCE’S team plane has been forced to make an emergency landing.

The Turkish giants were flying into Manchester for their Europa League clash with United tomorrow night.

But their private jet was hit by a bird on its way to the UK, cracking the cockpit's windscreen.

The damage to the plane - that had earlier departed from Istanbul - forced the pilot to land in Budapest, Hungary.

A second plane was then sent from Turkey to pick the team up to finish the journey.

A tweet sent from the official Fenerbahce account read: “Due to the impact on the glass by a bird, on the flight to Manchester, we made a forced landing in Budapest. No worrying situation.”

Fenerbahce are ninth in Turkey's Super Lig and sit top of the Europa League group - a point ahead of United in third.

Their side includes ex-United striker Robin van Persie and former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.

The club is scheduled to hold a press conference at Old Trafford at 6pm today, followed by a training session.

The pair were missing from the match day squad for Monday's 0-0 Premier League draw at Liverpool after they suffered knocks in training on Saturday.

But they look to be in contention to return having been seen taking part in this morning's session at the Red Devils' Aon Training Complex in Carrington, the first 15 minutes of which were open to the media.

Midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has missed the last seven games due to a thigh problem, was also involved.

The only absentee from the session was defender Phil Jones (knee), plus goalkeeper Sam John Stone, who had been involved in an under-23s match the previous evening.

REAL MADRID legend Ronaldo wants Philippe Coutinho to quit Liverpool for the Spanish giants.

The Brazilian midfielder is a key part of Jurgen Klopp's midfield.

He's impressed in the Premier League since a January 2013 switch from Inter Milan.

But Ronaldo wants the 24-year-old to pack it all in for a shot a glory at the Bernabeu.

"I would like to see Coutinho at Real Madrid, the Liverpool player," he told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.

Coutinho's contract isn't up until 2020 meaning Real would have to break the bank to land the midfield schemer.

He's made s blistering start to the season, firing three goals and putting on two assists in eight games for the Reds.

Ronaldo was also full of praise for former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

He thinks the Barcelona man is up alongside Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo as the best players in the world.

"They are three great players," he added.

"I would also include Luis Suarez as he is playing very well.

"It is so difficult to choose just one as the best. They are very, very good. At the moment I will choose Cristiano as he is playing for Real Madrid, but we cannot forget how good Messi and Neymar are, and we must respect these players for the entertainment they bring us."

Twin sisters conjoined at the head who were abandoned at birth by their parents who couldn't afford to look after them, have celebrated their 14th birthdays.

Co-joined twins, Veena and Vani, from Hyderabad, India.

 

Veena and Vani who are two conjoined twin sisters and were reportedly abandoned by their parents at a hospital and have been raised by the staff since their birth in 2004, have celebrated their 14th birthdays. 

 

According to Dailymail, the twins have spent the majority of their life in one room which has only one window for them see the outside world, were abandoned by their parents, from Hyderabad, India, after an initial operation to separate the pair. 

 

 

It was gathered that the parents had promised to take them back if the whole process by surgeons gets completed, but unfortunately no follow-up surgery has taken place and experts say it is unlikely it will ever happen.

 

As all medics claim the risk of surgery has increased as they have grown older, the twins are now reportedly being prepared to move out of the hospital - their home for 11 years - and into a special home.

 

 

Experts believe it is essential for their psychological and social development as teenagers.

Jose Mourinho handed deadline to respond to FA charges

JOSE MOURINHO has until 6pm on Friday to explain his recent comments to the FA about referee Anthony Taylor.

FA bosses have contacted the Manchester United boss for his observations over claims the Manchester-based official would find it 'difficult' to handle his side's clash at Liverpool on Monday night.

Supporters, pundits and former referees questioned Taylor's appointment for the game - which ended in a goalless draw at Anfield.

Keith Hackett, former head of Premier League referees, also joined the debate which questioned the close proximity of Taylor's home to Old Trafford.

When asked about the situation last week, Mourinho insisted he thought Taylor would be under too much pressure.

He said: "Somebody with intention is putting such a pressure on him. I feel that it will be difficult for him to have a very good performance."

Bosses are banned from commenting about the performance of referees before or after a game.

Mourinho has now risked an FA charge relating to media comments if he is found to be in breach of regulation E3.

The FA have now demanded a response from the Portuguese about the reasons for his remarks.

Mourinho could be charged with breaching the FA's guidelines on media comments about referees and face a potential fine, rather than a more serious stadium ban.

Jenas was snapped up by Newcastle for £5m from Nottingham Forest in 2002 when he was just 18.

The former England international - capped 21 times by his country - says the Red Devils and Leeds were also desperate to secure his signature.

But the lure of first-team football and Bobby Robson’s persistence helped coax him to Tyneside.

“I sat down with my manager, he called me in on my day off, and he basically just went: ‘Look, we’ve had three offers in for you. Leeds have offered £5m, Newcastle £5m and Man United £3m,” said Jenas who was speaking behind the scenes at BT Sport Score.

“I thought that was weird, but basically he said: ‘Ferguson thinks it’s an honour to play for the club, therefore he’s only offering £3m.’

“I think they were kind of only doing the deal because I was hot property at the time – not because he genuinely wanted me.

“At United they were saying: ‘We’ll develop you and you’ve got all these star players to train with.’

“But I didn’t want that. I wanted to be playing.

“Bobby didn’t stop ringing my phone - and David O’Leary was ringing me.

“So it was kind of like, which way do I go?

“Leeds were Champions League at the time, they had [Rio] Ferdinand, [Robbie] Keane, [Robbie] Fowler and so on - and it was closer to home.

“But my agent said: ‘You can’t go to Leeds. It’s going to fall apart. I promise you it’s not good there.’

“Once I’d got to St James’ Park, the minute I pulled up to the stadium, I’d decided I wasn’t going anywhere else.

“It felt like the right place to be – and Bobby just sold it to me by making sure I knew I was going to be playing.
“I could have said no, gone to United and you might never have seen me.

“I might have gone into the reserves, got paid loads of good money and just been comfortable.

“I might not have been able to break through into that unbelievable United team of [Roy] Keane, [Nicky] Butt and [Paul] Scholes. I could have just gone missing.”

Jenas, who also had permanent stints at Tottenham and QPR before retiring through injury, has urged up and coming stars to follow his lead and pick clubs that’ll offer them game time.

He added: “I say to youngsters: ‘Go out and play football.’

“What are you doing playing for the under 21s?

“Tell your agent you want to go and play for Leyton Orient.

“Go and play for anybody. Don’t sit playing in this under 21 league because you’ll just rot away.

“At the moment there’s too many players that are looked at as a promise or a talent.”

Mohammed Bello Abubakar, 92, shot to fame in 2008 as Nigeria’s foremost "super polygamist" after marrying more than 100 woman in a "divine calling".

Despite outliving the majority of his children, rumours were swirling that he had passed away following a short illness this year.

But Mr Bello has come forward to say he is very much alive, and looking to settle down again, and again, and again.

He released the statement: "My dear, I am very much alive, hale and hearty.

"The rumour is baseless and can best be described as the work of my detractors because they envy what God has done and what He is still doing for me.

"What I am doing is divine. It is an assignment and I will keep doing it till the end," he added.

It's widely agreed among muslim scholars that a man can take up to four wives, as long as they are all looked after equally.

But Mr Bello's nuptials have angered the community in Bida, Niger state, where he is a cleric, according to The Independent.

But Mr Bello said his own interpretation was that "the Koran does not place a limit and it is up to what your own power, your onwn endowment and ability allows".

He previously claimed that those "fighting against the number of my wives" were "waging a war against God, their creator".
