Liverpool News: Klopp’s bizarre revelation, legend slams Reds, midfield ace praised

Liverpool got some revenge for Sunday’s Capital One Cup final defeat to Manchester City as they swept Manuel Pellegrini's men aside at Anfield.
Goals from Adam Lallana, James Milner and Roberto Firmino earned the Reds an emphatic 3-0 victory, but manager Jurgen Klopp says his highlight of the match was a Kolo Toure tackle.
He said: ”To be honest, the moment of the day was the challenge of Kolo Toure in the 27th spring with Sergio Aguero.
"I can’t believe [it]. I thought 'Okay, it’s Aguero, we made a mistake so it's a goal, or maybe Simon [Mignolet| has to make a world-class save.'
"But then came Kolo and it was really not too bad!"

Liverpool legend Steve McManaman says his former side have barely improved since Klopp’s arrival at Anfield.
Speaking to BT Sport ahead of the win over City, McManaman said: “When he took over, I think there was a different aura around the place.
"Everybody believes and likes Jurgen Klopp and want him to do well, that goes without saying.

“But as a team, performance-wise, how can anybody argue that they’ve improved when its a draw, a loss, a draw, a loss and then beatingAston Villa.
“The girl guides are beating Aston Villa at this moment.

Meanwhile Alan Shearer heaped praise on James Milner after the win at Anfield.
"Whatever position you put him in, he’ll do a job for you," said the former Newcastle striker onMatch of the Day.
"If you had five Milners, you wouldn’t go far wrong.
"He’s very, very good at most things. He was one of the guys who could be relied upon in reaction to the weekend.

"I think he’ll be a big part of Klopp’s plans going forward."
