ANTONIO CONTE is prepared to axe Chelsea midfielders Cesc Fabregas and John Obi Mikel, reports claim.
Conte, who replaced interim manager Guus Hiddink, has transformed Chelsea's fortunes after recording an impressive run victories.
His switch to the 3-4-3 formation has seen Chelsea score 16 goals and concede none in the last five Premier League matches.
But despite an upturn in form, two players remain vulnerable.
The Mirror claim Conte is busy trying to locate a new midfielder to replace Fabregas, who is no longer in the Italian's plans.
Fabregas, 29, has made just six appearances in all competitions this season and has failed to complete a full Premier League fixture.

The report also suggests Mikel, who signed for the club in 2006, will not be offered a new contract when his current deal expires in June 2017.
Earlier this year, the Nigeria captain admitted he would leave Chelsea to avoid spending another season on the bench.

He said: "I know when this season ends, we will definitely sit down and try to sort out whatever needs to be sorted out.
"If it means me leaving, fine. If it means me staying, then I have to play because one thing I don't want to do is to sit on the bench like I did before."
