MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has hailed the impact of Jurgen Klopp on his career.
Klopp paid Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk £23m to sign Mkhitaryan for Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
The Armenia international went on to emerge as one of the Bundesliga’s top players before sealing a big-money move to Manchester United in the summer.
And, in an interview on the FFA’s official website, he has revealed how he was able to flourish under Klopp.
In particular Mkhitrayan pointed to the improvements the now Liverpool boss made to the mental side of his game.
The playmaker has so far failed to make any kind of impact for the Red Devils.
He has not started a single match since suffering a thigh injury in United’s defeat to Manchester City in September and there has even been talk of him returning to Dortmund in January.
