JOSE MOURINHO appears to have sent a cryptic message to those at Manchester United who won’t play through the pain barrier.
Paul Pogba scored a sensational volley to give United the lead before Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a double to put the game beyond the Welsh side.
But Mourinho has questioned those in his squad who are not standing up and being counted.
He said: “The players believe in me and I believe in the players. That has never been the problem.
“There is a difference between the brave, who want to be there at any cost, and the ones for who a little pain can make a difference.
“If I were to speak with the many great football people of this team, they will say many times they played without being 100 per cent.
“For the team. For the team you have to do anything. That is my way of seeing.
“Yes, it takes time, but with the help of people like Phil Jones, who was playing without having even trained, Ashley Young, Wayne Rooney, with these people it will not be an impossible mission but a possible mission.”
United’s win moved them up into sixth place in the Premier League above Everton and Watford in the process.
Next up for the Red Devils after the international break is a clash against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
