IT seems that the UK's obsession with celebrities runs far deeper than we expected.
We don't know whether the increased interest in celeb romps is linked to last year's A-list hacking scandal, which saw intimate pictures from the likes of Kelly Brook, Kate Upton and Jennifer Lawrence leaked without their permission.
Or perhaps the surge is down to some kind of bizarre nostalgia for the dawn of the digital age, when the idea of something going viral had barely been connived.
Either way, as a nation we couldn't get enough of a bit of celebrity action.
So we decided to grill the public on the streets of London to try and find out what all the fuss was about.
Suffice to say the reactions were mixed.
Some seem alarmed by the trend and denied ever watching anything of the sort.
Others weren't surprised in the slightest and were happy to dish the dirt on their favourites, which they'd been watching "since 2000".
But between the newbies and the connoisseurs of the genre, most agreed that our fascination with celebrities getting down and dirty was more about curiosity and even comedy than genuine eroticism.
SEX SYMBOL CREDENTIALS: It wasn't just the red swimsuit that made Pammie famous
And in line with PornHub's data, the majority crowned Kim K the undisputed queen of celebrity sex tapes, an accolade we're sure she'll be thrilled with.
It's too early to say for certain if celebrity sex tapes will remain on top in 2016, but with Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian reportedly looking to break onto the scene, we doubt demand will wane too much.
Now go and take a cold shower, the lot of you.
