Muslims ‘whip their own backs in sick bloody ritual at London mosque

FANATIC Muslims are carrying out sick medieval-style self-beating rituals in London, it has been claimed.

A disturbing video from 2013 appears to show a group of men with bloodied backs thrashing themselves with bladed instruments as a jeering crowd looks on.
The practice, known as zanjeer zani, is so depraved and barbaric that it is banned in Iran, a Muslim republic.
In the unsettling video, men fanatically whip themselves on the back with curved blades and chant the name of the Imam Hussein, the Prophet Mohammed’s grandson.

The incident has caused tension between the Idara-e-Jaaferiya mosque in Tooting, South London, and the local council.
Last month, a hardlinegroup of 14 individuals were blacklisted from carrying out the crazed ritual within a mile of the mosque.

But according to mosque chiefs, the splinter group carried out the horrific blood-letting each year without permission.
The practice allegedly still happens in a “handful” of other Shia Muslim mosques around Britain.
Massoud Shadjareh, head of the Islamic Human Rights Commission, said: “This is a barbaric practice and should not be allowed for all kinds of reasons, not least health-and-safety grounds because of the blood that is flying around and the danger of cross-infection from the implements.

“The committee running the mosque had been trying to get this stopped for years, but no one would help them, including the police and the council and the local MP Sadiq Khan, as they were always told it was on private premises and a religious matter.
“Everyone treats it with kid gloves because of the sensitivities.”
Shockingly, he added: “But the truth is there is no obligation upon Muslims to do this. In 2011, Wandsworth even let them erect a tent next to the mosque over council parking spaces.”
A Wandsworth council spokesman told the Mail On Sunday: “We would be concerned about the public-health implications if this form of worship were to take place, and if so, we would want to work with the local community, the police and other agencies to ensure that the risk to public health was minimised.”
This is not the first time radical mosques have sparked fury in Europe.
Earlier this month, a Danish mosque caused anger after a preacher told Muslims to beat children who “did not pray by the age of 10”.
