Rihanna dedicates Diamonds to Brussels as fans light up arena in breathtaking spectacle

The Kiss It Better singer took to the stage in Washington on Tuesday night to continue promoting her latest album.

Following the ISIS attack on an airport and the city's underground network that brought the Belgian capital to its knees, the Bajan star dedicated her number one single Diamonds to Brussels.

RiRi, 28, asked the crowd to put up their phones and light up the arena to show support.

One fan took to Twitter to say: "Washington D.C Was lit.

"Rihanna dedicated DIAMONDS to #BrusselAttacks tonight. Amazing woman."

A second wrote: "@rihanna dedicates #Diamonds 2 victims of #BrusselsAttacks AND all othr victims of terrorism (incl US) around globe."

ISIS, otherwise known as Daesh, has now officially claimed responsibility for the attacks, and at least 198 people have been injured.

A picture has since emerged showing three suspects at the airport, one of whom is on the run.

The ISIS jihadist that helped slaughter 130 in the terrorist attack on Paris, Salah Abdeslham played a part in the horrific suicide bombings in Brussels, according a senior Belgian official.

Rihanna isn't the only one to show solidarity, as the whole world stood together against terrorism.

Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin and Rome are just some of the cities that are shining the colours of the Belgian flag on their most recognisable monuments.

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai was included in the list of buildings which have lit up in the black, yellow and red colours.
