A TERROR threat has forced a foreign embassy in Istanbul to close as the world reels from yesterday's atrocities in Brussels.
SHUT: Dutch Consulate in Istanbul has closed over terror threat
The Dutch Consulate has cited the threat of an attack as its reason for shutting.
The building has been evacuated and closed temporarily due to a "possible terror threat", the foreign minister said in statement on Wednesday.
Dutch citizens in Istanbul are advised to avoid the area around the consulate," it said.
Details on the nature of the threat are unclear.
Yesterday ISIS struck at the heart of the EU with suicide bombings at an airport and Metro Stations in Brussels.
Today a minute's silence has been held in the Belgian capital to honour victims, as a manhunt continues for a man in white caught on CCTV at the airport.
Two suicide bombers, named as Khalid and Brahim El Bakraoui from Brussels, escaped police in a shootout last week and have been at large for 10 days.
The panic stretched to Dutch capital Amsterdam aftershots were fired at the city's railway station
