The Army singer has addressed the rumours that she had some sort of cosmetic procedure.

And it's a firm "no".

Speaking to heat magazine, the blonde said: "I don't know what it is! I hadn't done anything to them.

"Any of my friends will tell you, I don't like needles, I don't like doctors – it's impossible for me to have anything done like that."

Instead, she pulled a Kylie Jenner and credited clever makeup for the statement look.

"[My makeup artist] Lisa does 3D lips and it makes your lips look massive," she said. "You add like three layers of lip liner."

Remember the days when 18-year-old Kylie said her pout was all down to lip liner, too, before admitting to getting fillers?

Well, we're inclined to believe Ellie, and here's why.

The 29-year-old attended a pre-Grammys party in February and it was here that the rumours began.

Wearing a royal blue dress, the blonde went with minimal makeup – apart from on her lips.

But the next day, at the Grammy's, her lips looked full, but just like her 2010 pout on closer inspection.

And when the offending images are zoomed in on, the natural edge of Ellie's lip does appear to be quite far inside the applied makeup.

So, there you have it, rumour officially debunked.
