Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refuses to rule out swoop for £45m striker

ARSENE WENGER has refused to rule out a move for Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

IN DEMAND: Arsenal are keen on Alexandre Lacazette
The Arsenal boss is desperate to snap up a new striker during this transfer window and has already failed to land Leicester's Jamie Vardy.
The Mirror claimed over the weekend that the Gunners are now lining up a move for Lacazette.
Lyon are said to be demanding around £45m for their star forward, who scored 23 goals last season.
And it's claimed that Arsenal are facing competition for his signature from London rivals West Ham and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
Wenger has now commented on the potential deal but didn't give much away.
When asked about a bid for Lacazette, the Frenchman told Canal+ Sport: "I can neither confirm or deny interest [in him].
"If I say that I like the player it starts speculation."
Lacazette came through the youth ranks at Lyon and has score 22 goals or more for the club in his last three seasons.
The 25-year-old has three years remaining on his current contract.
