Liverpool News: Higuain not joining, club deny bid accepted, Dortmund star to be scouted

STARSPORT brings you the latest news coming out of Anfield.

The Liverpool Echo report that there is no truth in rumours that Gonzalo Higuain is joining Liverpool.
The Mirror claimed last week that the Napoli striker was keen on joining the Reds while beIN Sportsyesterday said a deal was very close.
Jurgen Klopp watched Higuain in action for Argentina at the Copa America last night but the Echo says there is nothing in the links.
Cologne’s chief executive Jorg Schmadtke has told German newspaper Express that Liverpool have not bid for left-back Jonas Hector.
Website This is Anfield claimed on Saturday that the Reds were in talks with the Germany international after having a bid accepted.
Schmacdtke said: “There’s nothing in it. There is no question of an offer from Liverpool.
“If someone comes up with double [the number in question], then I might answer the phone.
“But I believe that Jonas plays in the new season with us.”
GENO MOVE: Gonzalo Higuain is not poised to join Liverpool
Klopp is considering a move to bring Nuri Sahin back to Liverpool, Turkish website AMK claim.
The Turkey international failed to make an impact at Anfield during a loan spell during the 2012/13 season.
But Klopp is a big fan of the 27-year-old having worked with him during his two spells at Borussia Dortmund.
And it is claimed the Reds will scout Sahin during Euro 2016 as Klopp weighs up whether to make a summer bid.
