BRUTAL Islamic State jihadis have burned 19 women alive because they refused to have sex with the militants.
VILE: Islamic State militants captured and burned women who refused to be taken as sex slaves
Witnesses told how the barbaric militants herded the defiant women into iron cages in a public square in the Iraqi city of Mosul - which has been occupied by Islamic State since June 2014.
The cages were then set alight as the evil extremists brutally burned the women alive in front of hundreds of onlookers.
The sick execution was reportedly carried out because the women refused to be taken into sexual slavery by ISIS fighters.
This latest report is just one many shocking executions carried out by the terror group - which is also known as Daesh.
In May militants executed 25 Iraqi captives by lowering them into vats of acid.
Speaking to Kurdish news agency ARA, a witness to this latest execution said: “The 19 girls were burned to death while hundreds of people were watching. Nobody could do anything to save them from the brutal punishment.”
The women were of the Yazidi Kurdish religious minority, a community which has been subject to a campaign of attacks and killings by Islamic State as they are considered ‘devil-worshippers’.
According to the Kurdistan Regional Government, ISIS fighters in Iraq and Syria continue to hold about 1,800 abducted Yazidi women and girls.
