PEPE REINA’s father insists their is nothing in reports the goalkeeper could make a stunning return to Liverpool.
JUST RUMOURS: Pepe Reina's dad does not expect his son to return to Liverpool
The Spaniard left Liverpool for Bayern Munich in 2014, having spent the previous season on loan at Napoli.
But Miguel Reina is not expecting to see his son return to Anfield.
“We do not talk about the market in the family, we are not aware of the interest of Barcelona or other teams," he told Corriere dello Sport.
"Liverpool? There is nothing, just rumours. The great affection that Pepe has for the Napoli is known.”
The German is expected to challenge Simon Mignolet to be Klopp’s first-choice next season although speculation surrounds Mignolet’s future at Anfield.
The Belgian signed a new five-year contract earlier this year but has made a number of high profile errors during his time on Merseyside and the links with Reina suggested Mignolet could soon be moved on.
Liverpool are also looking to offload Adam Bogdan while Danny Ward, who ended the season as Mignolet’s deputy, looks likely to leave on loan again.
