Swansea chief confirms interest in Joe Allen: Liverpool want £10m for midfielder

SWANSEA chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed the club want to re-sign Joe Allen this summer.

INTEREST: Swansea will monitor Joe Allen's situation at Liverpool
The midfielder’s future at Liverpool is uncertain with his contract set to expire in 12 months’ time.
Allen impressed under Jurgen Klopp last season but his agent revealed last month Liverpool have given no indication whether they want to keep or sell the 26-year-old.
Swansea sold Allen to the Anfield outfit for £15m in 2012 and Jenkins insists they will be closely monitoring his situation in the coming months in case he should become available.
"I think it has been well-documented that Joe is going to look at his future when he is finished out at Euro 2016," Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.
"Naturally, we are interested in good players like Joe who may be available this summer given that he has a year left on his contract.

"Obviously we will keep tabs on his situation and see what happens later in the summer."
Liverpool are understood to want at least £10m should they allow Allen to leave.
