TERROR COPS: Elite French police on the scene of the suspected terror attack
The French government has labelled the latest attack an act of "terrorism".
The twisted terrorist — who was escaped with a suspended sentence for "conspiracy to prepare acts of terrorism" in 2013 — stabbed off-duty police commander Jean-Baptiste Salvaing, 42, to death before taking his wife Larossi Abballa, 25, and three-year-old son hostage at their home in Paris.
The sick attacker then killed Ms Abballa – before reportedly boasting about it on Twitter.
RAID – an elite unit of French national police – stormed the policeman's home in Magnanville, northwest of the French capital.
The Amaq News Agency, the official media arm of the ISIS, claimed the killer carried out the attack on behalf of the terrorist organisation.
France is still rocked after ISIS killed 129 people in the atrocious Paris attacks in November.
And the world is on high terror alert after a gunman shot 49 people dead in a nightclub in Florida, US, on the weekend.

Electricity and gas to the area were cut off and nearby homes evacuated in Paris last night.
Five large explosions were heard as the RAID unit stormed the building where the assailant was holed up.
The callous killer was shot dead in the raid.
The young boy was rescued unharmed and is now safe.

There are unconfirmed reports the attacker discussed his "affiliation to ISIS" during negotiations with the police.
A source close to the case said: "It's said that he shouted 'Allahu akhbar' during the attack and spoke about his membership of ISIS."
President Francois Hollande said in a statement he "strongly condemned this abject of act of terrorism".
He added: "A police commander and his partner, a civil servant at the interior ministry, were shamefully murdered this evening.
"All light will be shed on the circumstances of this terrible tragedy."
Bernard Cazeneuve, France's interior minister, said "every line of inquiry" was being investigated.

"The assailant, the criminal was killed.
"Thankfully, a little boy was saved.
"He was in the house. He's safe and sound.
"He was saved by police officers."

RESPONSE: Elite police officers were called to the incident
The attacker was described as a teenager or in his early 20s.
Some French media has reported he was the victim's neighbour and a former soldier.
Neighbours said the man had served with the French Army, in the Foreign Legion.
WITNESSES: Members of the public at the secen
The alarm was raised by neighbours of the victim.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, the assailant shouted he was holding hostages.
Neighbours report hearing the man shouting "Islamic slogans".
The police officer who was killed has been identified by local media as Commander Jean-Baptiste Salvaing.
Different sources report his age as 42 or 40.
He was deputy chief of the judicial police at the police station of Les Mureaux.
He was previously stationed at the police station of Mantes-la-Jolie.
An unnamed colleage said: "It was a very friendly police officer who had very good reputation."
