CHRISTIAN BENTEKE will still be at Liverpool next season, his agent claims.
STAYING: Christian Benteke's agent says he will remain at Liverpool
The striker's future at Anfield has been the subject of intense speculation following a disappointing first season on Merseyside.
Liverpool are open to selling the Belgian and have slapped a £30m price-tag on him, amid interest from several clubs including Crystal Palace, West Ham and Atletico Madrid.
But Benteke's agent, Kismet Eris, is not expecting his client to be moving any time soon.
"Yes [I expect him to stay at Liverpool]," he told Sport Witness.
"[There's] nothing at all with any team [at the moment]."
Benteke became Liverpool's second-most expensive signing when he joined last summer from Aston Villa in a £32.5m deal.
He struggled to display his best form and the arrival of Jurgen Klopp in October saw him slip down the pecking order behind Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino.
He managed just 10 goals in 42 appearances and only three of those came in 2016 as he went through a 13-game scoring drought.
"At 25 years old, I'm neither old nor young but it's important to play," Benteke said.
"I still have a contract at Liverpool and I'd like to stay there, if I remain in the coach's plans.
"If that's not the case, it will become difficult to stay. I'll think about if after the Euros."
