Porto have confirmed the signing of Joao Teixeira from Liverpool.
The Portuguese midfielder leaves the Reds after four years at the club having rejected their offer of a contract extension.
Porto chairman Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa said: “We have high hopes for João Teixeira, for his talent, his youth, and his eagerness to sign for FC Porto, as – were he not a fan of the club – he would have signed for a big Italian club as Fiorentina, one of the clubs keeping an eye on him.
"He was a free player, so he was the one making the decision of signing for us, which pleases us and gives us a guarantee that he will join this team body and soul; he will surely be an asset."
Piotr Zielinski's agent has told Radio CRC there is no chance the midfielder will join Napoli.
Liverpool are battling the Serie A side for the Poland international and have made a £9.5m bid for the 22-year-old.
Napoli's president Aurelio de Laurentiis claimed over the weekend he had reached an agreement with Udinese for a transfer but Bartlomiej Bolek insists his client will not be going to Naples.
He said: "To be honest, there is no chance that the player can go to Napoli."
Liverpool have had a £20m bid for Sporting Lisbon forward Islam Slimani rejected, according to Noticias ao Minuto.
The 27-year-old scored 32 goals in all competitions last season and is reported to be also interesting Arsenal, Leicester, Tottenham and Lazio.
The report claims both Liverpool and Arsenal bid £20m for the Algerian but Sporting will not sell unless his £24m release clause, which expires on June 30, is activated.
