WHAT are you doing here, Wayne?
England captain Rooney hit the golf course in France this morning ahead of the Battle of Britain against Wales tomorrow.
But clearly all didn’t go to plan.
Did the photographers catch the Manchester United star spending time looking for his balls in a bush?
Wearing his full England tracksuit, Rooney drove up the fairway in a buggy before jumping out.
He had a quick look around before making his way to his right towards the shrubbery.
WHY THE GLOVE, WAYNE? What's Rooney doing here?
A wayward drive was it, Wayne?
Whatever he was up to, you'd take your golf glove off first!
Rooney stood upright for a few seconds with his hand on the cusp of his trousers.
He then stared down a camera’s lens - as this picture shows.
The Three Lions skipper then adjusted before making his way back on to the course.
Rooney was joined for a round by England team-mates James Milner and Joe Hart.
While Rooney wore a long-sleeve England top and trousers, Hart donned a t-shirt on the course.
Back to football, England had a full complement of players as they trained for the final time ahead of the Wales clash.
All 23 players took part in a morning session at their Stade des Bourgognes base in Chantilly before travelling to Lens, where manager Roy Hodgson and captain Wayne Rooney will give their pre-match press conference.
The squad were taken through some light warm-up exercises in front of photographers and media before more detailed preparation took place behind closed doors.
Their privacy was ensured by a coterie of local police and security, including two on horseback.
Two drones were also in operation, monitoring the perimeter to ensure no prying eyes were able to look in on Hodgson's side.
