Klopp: Sturridge is still struggling in training

Jurgen Norbert Klopp says Daniel Sturridge is continuing to struggle with injuries in Liverpool training.
England striker Sturridge has featured just three times since Klopp was appointed manager at Anfield, and last appeared in the defeat at Newcastle almost two months ago.
There have been suggestions Sturridge’s issues are more psychological than physical, with Klopp admitting the 26-year-old needs to learn “what is serious pain and what is only pain”.
The former Manchester City and Chelsea forward will miss the visit of West Ham on Saturday, and has also been ruled out of the midweek trip to Leicester City.
When asked for an update on Sturridge, Klopp replied: “No news. He’s still working. Sometimes it’s better, sometimes it’s worse. He needs consistency in sessions and that’s what we try to do.
“Everyone in this room knows him better than I did, I’ve seen him train and there’s no doubt about quality. I’m not here to think about what will happen in the future, so we work together with Daniel on his fitness.
“He’s a very good player. He is not available so we don’t have to talk too much about him, he is not here for tomorrow or Leicester.”
