Spurs are set to launch a fresh £18m move for West BromWest's Saido Berahino, according to reports.
The Burundi-born hit-man came close to joining the Lilywhites over the summer, but his hopes of joining the London club were thwarted as Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace rebuffed numerous big money offers – the last of which was worth around £23M - from the Lilywhites.
Berahino reacted badly, claiming that he had no desire to play for the clubr the club while Peace remained in charge, but has since been welcomed back into the first-team by manager Tony Pulis, albeit he’s been far from an integral player at The Hawthorns.
And reports claim that with Andros Townsend set to seal a £12m move to Newcastle, the high-flying White Hart Lane outfit are plotting an £18m offer to finally secure the 22-year-old’s signature.
Although West Brom have been playing hardball, a sale would grant Pulis funds to bolster his ranks for the latter half of the season.
Spurs are known to be short of attacking options, with Mauricio Pochettino unable to call on an orthodox central striker beyond club hero Harry Kane.
