A BRIT has died after being reportedly being hit by two men in a fight in Spanish holiday resort Tenerife.
The 53-year-old man reportedly clashed with two others at about 1.45am today in the resort of Adeje.
Emergency services in the Canary Islands were called to reports of two people fighting.
Paramedics found the Brit in cardiac arrest and attempts to revive him failed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two men are reported to have been arrested in connection with the death although their nationality is not known.
The area where the incident happened is next to popular Playa de Las Americas in the south of Tenerife.
A spokesman for a local emergency response service said the incident happened in a street called Avenida Ernesto Sarti.
“Police have taken charge of the investigation.”
A source close to the case said two people had been arrested over the Brit’s death but would not confirm their nationality.
They are thought to have been handed to an investigating judge so he can decide whether to grant bail.
The probe is being led by Spain’s National Police who have placed a secrecy order on the case.
