Leicester star Danny Simpson’s victim Stephanie Ward vows to stop WAG attacks

A THROTTLED WAG said she “never felt so powerless” as she spoke for the first time about her attack at the hands of the superstar.

Stephanie Ward and Danny SimpsonATTACK: Two years ago the full-back was convicted for assaulting Stephanie
Pretty Stephanie Ward has told of her hellish life with abusive Premier League winner Danny Simpson.
The £35,000-a-week Leicester City full-back was convicted of attacking Stephanie at his home two years ago.
Police burst into the mansion to find the defender sitting on top of her with his hands around her neck during a blazing row.
It left broken Stephanie feeling “pathetic” and distraught.
She is now working for the charity Women’s Aid to stop players inflicting domestic violence.
Simpson, 29, lost an appeal against his assault sentence days after helping the Foxes clinch their first Premier League title.
Despite the attack, Stephanie admitted she has only just recovered from the feeling that she would have nothing without her famous “other half”.
She told Grazia magazine: “Even though everyone now knew what he’d done to me, even though he’d been convicted, I still felt guilty.
“Through our relationship, protecting his career was the most important thing.”
Famous Simpson was ordered to carry out 300 hours’ community service for the attack in December 2014.
But this month he tried to quash the remaining 155 hours he has to do due to “press intrusion”, claiming he is too famous.
He was handed a 21-day curfew but that was later overturned in court and the original community order was reinforced.

But the judge said that Simpson only has to complete his community work once Leicester’s celebrations are over this summer.
The couple first met in 2007 before having daughter Skye four years later, but separated weeks before the vicious assault due to rumours of Simpson cheating.
The mum-of-one said: “It looked like I had everything to the outside world – big house, nice car, footballer boyfriend – but us women are disposable to players.
“Because of what they earn, nobody will never challenge their behaviour and they’re treated like Gods.”
