WATCH: What Red Bull does to your body will shock you

YOU might never want to drink an energy drink again after watching this clip.

Last year former pharmacist Niraj Naik shocked the world with his findings on .
After a rampage of questions about other types of Coke, he also published shocking details about the .
But what about energy drinks like ? An infographic, by Content Researcher Erwin Johnson from Personalise.co.uk, shows the stomach-churning affects a can of the energy drink can have on your body.
From rising blood pressure to constipation, the drink takes its toll from the first sip to 12 days later, according to information sourced from the NHS and Redbull websites.
Here the company, who also explored , shows us how Red Bull affects the body:

But are the findings in the graphic correct? Daily Star Online speaks to Technical Nutritionist Ella Allred about the affects energy drinks have on your system.
She said: "Energy drinks are a bad way to get caffeine. Many people drink energy drinks every day to help them survive busy week.
"However, relying on those drinks, push our bodies to the limit. We still need to sleep and eat properly, but if we won’t do it on time and ignore our needs, most likely we will crash later on."
First 10 minutes
After drinking an energy drink the caffeine starts to be absorbed into your bloodstream, your body responds by increasing your heart rate and blood pressure.
"Caffeine is highly addictive – the more you drink the more you need – and you end up caught up in a vicious circle," said Ella.
"It’s main effect on our body is raised blood pressure, which is dangerous for or heart and kidney health."

15-45 minutes
At some point during the first 15-45 minutes, depending how fast you drink it the levels of caffeine will peak, you'll feel alert and find your concentration is improved. This is due to caffeine being a stimulant drug.
This is when it's recommended to drink one if you are driving and feel you need to be more alert.
30-50 minutes
After you finish your drink and your body has now fully absorbed the caffeine your liver will often react by absorbing more sugar.
It's during this time that your body has also absorbed most of the sugar initially in the drink.
"Energy drinks are packed with sugar in order to raise our blood glucose levels and give us a quick energy fix," added the expert, from nutricentre.com.
"High glucose levels cause our pancreas to release insulin, which – often repeated – can increase our chances of developing diabetes type 2."
"It also causes us to store fat around your middle," she added.
60 minutes
An hour in and you'll likely be getting the dreaded 'sugar crash'. This often is a mix of the sugar levels in your bloodstream dropping as well as the effects of the caffeine dying down.
Ella said: "Once the caffeine has worn off, we are likely to experience energy crash and low moods.
"This constant ups and downs of energy and sugar levels can really affect our work, exercise, or whatever we are using the energy drink for."

HEALTH: After an hour your body will crash after the sugar rush
5-6 hours after
Roughly 5-6 hours after consumption your body will have reduced the caffeine content in your bloodstream by 50%.
For women who take an oral contraceptive this time is doubled.
12 hours after
Around 12 hours after finishing your energy drink the caffeine will be out of most people's bloodstreams, but it does varry from person to person.
Between 12 and 24 hours
For regular drinkers you'll find that between 12 and 24 hours is the time for when you'll start to feel withdrawal symptoms i.e. the urge for some caffeine, other affects of this include headaches, irritability and constipation.
"It takes about 12 hours for our liver to deal with caffeine from energy drinks. In the meantime, it can’t focus on removing other toxins from our body. That can cause other illnesses," she said.
7-12 days
Studies have shown that it takes the body 7-12 days to become tolerant of your daily caffeine dosage.
"To save yourself from sleepiness and exhaustion, very soon we will also find ourselves craving another energy drink, starting the process of hiding our real body’s need for rest and nutrition all over again," added Ella.
Gavin Partington, British Soft Drinks Association Director General, responded by saying: “Energy drinks deliver a caffeine or glucose-based energy boost and are enjoyed by millions worldwide.
"In fact, this year the European Food Safety Authority reaffirmed the safety of energy drinks and their ingredients.
"It’s worth remembering that a 250ml can of energy drinks contains the same amount of caffeine as a typical cup of coffee.”
