French cops have previously admitted that 150 "rabid" Russian football hooligans were on the loose.
The authorities were checking the identities of 29 Russians who were detained in Mandelieu, near Cannes after being supected of being part of the violence over the weekend.

DETAINED: Russian soccer fans stopped Mandelieu near Cannes
In a separate incident, 50 Russian fans were detained on a bus in Cannes on the way to Lille.
Alexander Shprygin, the head of a Russian Supporters Union, was on the bus.
He said: "They want to deport almost 50 people including women who did not take part in anything.
"The police are making up for their mistakes three days ago. We are in a bus in Cannes and we have been blocked in by riot police. We are not going anywhere for the time being."
He later said that they were waiting for the Russian consul to arrive on the scene.
The 29 Russians were detained as they left their hotel by coach on the way to Lille where they face Slovakia on Wednesday.
Francois-Xavier Lauch speaking to the French paper Nice Matin said: "Over the last few days, we have had evidence suggesting a number of supporters were staying here in Mandelieu-la-Napoule.
"They went to the England v Russia game in Marseille.
"We have confirmation from the national delegation for the fight against hooliganism that a number of supporters could pose a risk of disturbing public order during Euro 2016."
