Man United Transfer News: Why David De Gea wants to stay
DAVID DE STAYER: The Spanish keeper is staying at Old Trafford
De Gea, 25, was on the verge of joining Real Madrid last summer but an administration error caused the move to collapse.
The Spanish giants had an option to sign the 25-year-old - but president Florentino Perez has no interest in re-opening talks with United.
Jose Mourinho replaced Louis van Gaal on a three-year deal and Balague says the keeper is excited to see how the new boss shakes up Old Trafford.
"I think De Gea now is a clear situation," Balague told Sky Sports.
"Real Madrid have decided not to go with him.
"He's happy, he wants to stay with  and see what Jose Mourinho brings to him."
after his move to the Bernabeu hit the buffers.
