POLICE are on the search for Sinead O'Connor who reportedly told authorities she's going to jump off a bridge.
Chicago PD were told to be on the lookout by police in Ireland who had received a call from the distressed singer.
In an audio clip obtained by TMZ, an American officer can be heard saying: "Word from Ireland: Police Sergeant Claire Mulligan, at 15:30 hours, Sinead O'Connor called and said: 'I'm on a bridge in Chicago and I'm gonna jump.'
"If officers could keep an eye out for the celebrity."
Cops are said to have found someone who fit the troubled star's profile but that it wasn't her.
There doesn't seem to be an active search, as police officers in Chicago were just told to "keep an eye out" for Sinead.
The Nothing Compares 2 You singer has had a difficult time in recent months.
Hours earlier, she had posted a statement on Facebook addressing her eldest son Jake.
She was found safe and well, though.
Back in November 2015, Sinead posted what was thought to be a suicide note in which she said she had "taken an overdose at a hotel in Ireland under another name".
She was later found safe and received medical attention.
