Beyoncé sues clothing company ‘Feyoncé’ for using lyrics from Single Ladies

BEYONCÉ has filed a lawsuit against a Texas-based company after they started selling “Feyoncé” products.

Beyoncé
QUEEN B: Beyoncé has filed a law suit against a company using a similar name
The 34-year-old is suing Andre Maurice, Leana Lopez, Lee lee and Feyonce Inc., according to documents obtained by Daily Mail.
The mother-of-one filed in Manhattan Federal Court against the San Antonio individuals and company.
And it’s all down to them using a similar name and lyrics from her hit song Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).
According to the documents, the similarities confuse consumers and cause her irreparable harm.
Feyoncé mug
SIMILAR: The company have used Beyoncé's lyrics on their products
The company sells t-shirts as well as other clothing and mugs featuring the play on her name and song lyrics.
One $14.95 mug features the phrase "he put a ring on it", which, according to the lawsuit "intended to call to mind Beyoncé and her famous song".
The general theme of the website is gifts for those who have just got engaged or presents for those who have "a great wedding announcement", hence the "he put a ring on it" mug and play on the word fiancé.
Feyonce tshirts
CLOTHING: Feyoncé shirts are designed for newly engaged people
The simple logo t-shirts are also strikingly similar to Beyoncé’s merchandise, which is also mentioned in the lawsuit.
It also claims that there have already been cease and desist orders to stop the sale of the Feyoncé products.
But as of yet it’s all still for sale.
If Beyoncé is successful, their money will go to her, as she is asking for all profits made from the products and other damages for using her name.

PUT A RING ON IT: Beyoncé's song is described as 'one of the best music videos ever'
We have a feeling Kanye West helped write the lawsuit, though.
The document reads: "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It), has over 468,000,000 views on YouTube, has also won several awards, and is regarded as one of the best videos of all time because of its intricate choreography."
