Ever since the release of Beyoncé's new album Lemonade, the fandom has gone into meltdown over who "Becky with the good hair" is.

Lyrics on the album strongly imply that Bey's husband Jay Z cheated on her with a mystery woman.

The star's fans previously believed that stylist Rachel Roy was the other woman after she boasted about her "good hair" in a selfie – but now, an even more famous celeb has entered the suspect frame.

Rita has hinted that she might be the other woman after posting a seriously sexy selfie to Snapchat.

The 25-year-old, who famously signed to Jay Z's Roc Nation label in 2008, posed for a sultry picture wearing a sheer yellow bra decorated with lemon patches.

And it wasn't just the fruit that got the rumour mill turning.

Rita also wore a necklace with the letter 'J' hanging off it – a letter that doesn't feature anywhere in her name, but is the initial of a certain rapper embroiled in an affair scandal.

The selfies were actually taken before Lemonade was released, and the lemon bra is from Rita's collaboration with lingerie brand Tezenis.

But that didn't stop Beyoncé's fans attacking the X Factor judge.

The comments on every one of Rita's recent Instagram photos are littered with lemon emojis, with irate followers branding her a "ho" for the Bey/Jay situation.

One furious Bey devotee wrote: "Bey will destroy your career… the #beyhive will take u out… Everyone will forget about u… Life will dismantle u… U will never be Queen BEY #buzzz #bitch."

Another lyric from the Anger portion of Lemonade hears Bey say: "We can pose for a photograph, all three of us. Immortalized ... you and your perfect girl" – and there are photos of Jay, Beyoncé and Rita together.

Not that we want to read too much into things.

Rita previously denied an affair with mentor Jay Z, saying in a 2014 interview: "Don't you dare disrespect Beyoncé like that ever again in your entire life."

The Poison singer is currently in the middle of a legal battle with Roc Nation, filing a lawsuit claiming the label would not release her new material.

Beyoncé and Jay Z have not yet given comment on the themes of adultery on Lemonade, despite the story taking over the showbiz world.
