CHRIS Brown is releasing a documentary talking about his assault on Rihanna – and people are having none of it.
The Forever singer famously attacked then-girlfriend Rihanna in a vicious assault the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards.
And now, the 26-year-old has addressed the controversy in a documentary – although while he's apologising for the incident, many people think he wants us to feel sorry for him instead.
The trailer for Welcome To My Life has been released, and sees stars including Usher and Rita Ora talking about Chris' stratospheric rise to fame as a teenager.
Brown, riding high on the success of songs including Run It and With You, started dating Riri in 2008, with Chris saying in the doc: "Like real life rock stars… it was like a fairytale."
Chris Brown ridiculed a woman for attempting suicide and then released a documentary about his attempted suicide? Lmao that dude is wack.— Cold Cheese (@CloudProjection) April 19, 2016
Irony: when Chris Brown bashes a 20 year old girl for her attempted suicide, only to then release a documentary about his attempted suicide.— Papi Ru (@jeruberry) April 18, 2016
Suicide isn't a game, bro. If you can't be empathetic to Kehlani's struggle, you shouldn't expect people to show you empathy. @chrisbrown— Bae Grylls (@TheAuracl3) April 18, 2016
While she recovered, Chris tweeted: "Girls be mad at a n**** for f***ing around wit bitches but her DMs got more names then the Declaration of Independence. #YEAHIMTHROWINGSHADE.
"There is no attempting suicide. Stop flexing for the gram. Doing s*** for sympathy so them comments under your pics don't look so bad."
Following the release of the trailer, people took to Twitter to call Chris out on his hypocrisy.
One tweet read: "Chris Brown ridiculed a woman for attempting suicide and then released a documentary about his attempted suicide? Lmao that dude is wack."
Another person wrote: "As someone who has struggled with depression and made attempts on his own life, I don't need you making this seem self-indulgent.
"Suicide isn't a game, bro. If you can't be empathetic to Kehlani's struggle, you shouldn't expect people to show you empathy."
Chris' trailer ended with him saying: "If there was ever doubt in your mind that Chris Brown was done, he was finished? I wouldn't bet on it."
The singer received five years of probation, one year of domestic violence counselling, and six months of community service for his attack on Rihanna.
