Liverpool draws Villarreal

Liverpool Manchester CityLiverpool will face Villarreal in the semi-finals of the Europa League after overcoming Borussia Dortmund.
The Reds reached the final four of the competition for the first time since 2010 after staging a remarkable recovery against Dortmund at Anfield on Thursday.
It was a truly memorable European night as Liverpool scored four goals in the second half – and three in the final 24 minutes – to beat the Germans 4-3 on the night and 5-4 on aggregate.
Their reward is a semi-final tie with Spanish side Villarreal, who eased past Sparta Prague in the last eight with a comfortable 6-3 aggregate victory.
The other semi-final pits two-time consecutive winners and current holders Sevilla against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Liverpool have never met Villarreal in competition, and will travel to Spain for the first leg on April 28, before hosting the second leg at Anfield on May 5.
The winners of the Villarreal v Liverpool tie will be the home team in the final in Switzerland, which will take place on May 18.
