APPROACH: PSG have made a move for Jose Mourinho

According to Sky Sports, the French champions have offered Mourinho the chance to take over in the summer despite Laurent Blanc being under contract until 2018.

Reports in France suggest PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi met with Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes last week.

But Starsport understand the former Chelsea boss is not interested in taking the reins at PSG.

Mourinho is in contention to replace Louis van Gaal at Manchester United with the Dutchman under pressure following a poor season. 

He believes he has the Old Trafford job in the bag and Starsport revealed he cleared the path for United by snubbing Real Madrid and Valencia.

Former United defender Blanc is unlikely to last beyond this season despite securing the Ligue 1 title last month.

PSG chiefs were hoping for Champions League glory and Blanc admitted after the 3-2 aggregate defeat at Manchester City that “the buck stops with me”.

Mourinho expects to be back in management by the start of pre-season and he favours staying in England.

"[Van Gaal] is my friend, I worked with him for a few years," he said.

"I am always linked with jobs and in the summer I will have a job, but in this moment I can promise you I do not have a contract with any club.

"I am not in a position to turn (jobs) down, I am in a position to analyse. I am in a position to be open to any club or national team.

"I have to be honest, if possible I would prefer a club but I must analyse to see what is best for my career and to be back with everything I have.

"I would prefer [to be in England]. I love the country, I love the football here, my family is very stable and happy.

"If possible yes, it would be my first choice."
