MAYTE Garcia has dished the dirt on her four-year love affair with Prince, which may be one of the most bizarre in history.
The gorgeous brunette was just 16 when she met 32-year-old prince, who died at his Minnesota home on Thursday, and was working as a dancer at the time.
The pair were introduced backstage after the music icon was shown a video of her belly dancing.
"When we met I was a virgin and had never been with anybody,” she revealed.
"I remember our first kiss, and thinking, ‘Oh God, oh wow, this is not happening!'
"I remember it being overwhelming and weird. Our entire time together was amazing and surreal, and he showed me some incredible things and introduced me to incredible people," she continued to The Mirror.
But after being swept off of her feet by Prince, who wrote the Most Beautiful Girl in the World song for her, Mayte revealed the wild lifestyle of partying took its toll.
"I think I’m now screwed for life because my first relationship was the most bizarre relationship ever and I’m not normal any more," she confessed.
"I’ve kind-of been spoiled and I guess I am kind-of screwed-up now."
The lovebirds married in Minneapolis, Prince's home town, on Valentine's Day, 1996.
Almost immediately Mayte fell pregnant, but tragedy struck as their one-week-old son Boy Gregory died from Pfeiffer syndrome.
Shortly after, she miscarried her second pregnancy, which ultimately tore the grief-stricken couple apart.
"To lose two babies is really scary... it really caught on me emotionally, physically, everything. It took me at least 15 years to get over it and still, to this day, I miss my son," she said.
"I believe a child dying between a couple either makes you stronger or it doesn’t. For me, it was very, very hard to move forward and for us as a couple I think it probably broke us… Every day was a struggle even to breathe."
The couple lost contact completely in 2011.
Now 41, Mayte is a Hollywood actress starring in new US series Kingmakers, which she described as "scandalous, fun and full of twists and turns."
Prince's body was reportedly found at his personal music studio, although the cause of the 57-year-old's death remains unconfirmed.
Celebs flocked to social media to pay their respects to the music legend.
