Selena Gomez reveals why she went to rehab back in 2014: 'I needed time'

SELENA Gomez has reluctantly opened up about why she spent time in rehab back in 2014.

GQ's latest cover star has opened up about being diagnosed with lupus, and why she spent time seeking help.
When asked about rehab, she reportedly replied: "No, no, no, no, no."
Zach Baron – who interviewed the Hands To Myself singer – said that the former Disney star seemed to express "frustration and disgust" and took a long time to answer the question.

The 23-year-old brunette said: "First off, this is something that everyone always wants to fixate on.
"I got diagnosed with lupus. My mom had a very public miscarriage. So I had to cancel my tour. I needed time to just be OK."
Selena's mother, Mandy Teefey, lost a baby after suffering a miscarriage in 2011.

She went on: "I was going through leukaemia", but Baron thinks she actually meant to say chemotherapy.
She added: "And I went to two different locations for those treatments."
Last year, the Same Old Love singer revealed how she had to undergo chemotherapy treatments for her lupus – a chronic autoimmune disease which triggers flare-ups with symptoms like fevers, extreme fatigue and aches.

Selena then continued: "It's really frustrating, because I am 100 percent allowed to have that, but I think people just want to have some sort of — I understand what you're asking.
"But I'm just saying, I don't think it really matters. My past seems to be way more fascinating for people than my future, which bums me out … Why do you care?"
