NASA is set to look for alien life on Jupiter's "ocean moon" Europa under a Trump presidency.
ALIENS: Donald Trump reportedly wants to focus on finding aliens
According to sources close to the billionaire mogul, he wants to abandon NASA's plans to send human to Mars and focus time and money on other areas.
This would include missions to reach the farthest points of the solar system by the end of this century.
Trump was quoted as saying: "I will free NASA from the restriction of serving primarily as a logistics agency for low Earth orbit activity.
"Instead, we will refocus its mission on space exploration."
According to Robert Walker, who joined the Trump campaign team as space advisor, there will also be a focus on the possibility of mining valuable minerals from the asteroid belt.
And the President-elect is also said to be keen on visiting Jupiter's moon Europa because it's ocean climate means it is one of the most likely places aliens will be found.
The presence of water is one of the first indicators of alien life.
Mike Brown, of the California Institute of Technology, said: "First, perhaps, it might be best to understand why anyone would want to land on Europa at all.
"Europa – the second of Jupiter’s four large satellites – is clearly a special place.
"Ever since the time of the Galileo spacecraft nearly two decades ago, we have recognised that Europa’s fresh icy surface, covered with cracks and ridges and transform faults, is the external signature of a vast internal salty ocean."
