Baby abandoned in Gatwick Airport exactly 30 years ago appeals for real family

A BLOKE who was abandoned by his parents as a baby in Gatwick Airport has made an emotional appeal for his parents 30 years on.

Steven Hydes – nicknamed Gary Gatwick – was left in the ladies' toilets wrapped in a blanket exactly three decades ago today.
He is believed to have been 10 days old at the time and is now pleading for his parents to come forward, despite having no clue who they might be.
Mr Hydes took a DNA test in the past find out where his parents could be from – and discovered they may be from Ireland, England, Scotland, France of Germany.
The Missing Family Organisation are helping Mr Hydes with his appeal, who say two DNA matches have been found.

"It's the not knowing... why it happened and things like that I really want to know. To me it's just a blank space that everyone else seems to have," he told Sky News.
"There's also things like your medical history that others take for granted and I don't have that.
"I'd just like to know what happened, it will explain more about myself, complete me in a way."
Mr Hydes also has a Facebook page titled Gary gatwick airport baby abandoned which reaches out to the web to appeal for any potential parents to come forward.
