SOFA SO GOOD: Mason lies on top of the gator
The deadly gator hid in a pond at Outwest Farms, Florida, and pounced on livestock as it came down to drink.
Their mutilated carcasses were found near the water.
Farm owner Lee Lightsey and hunting guide Blake Godwin had to get within 20ft of the animal to get a clear shot.
He said: "We have come across lots over the last 20 years that have been only a little smaller.
"But what really drew our attention to this animal was the fact that it seems to have been feasting on the cattle on my farm – because mutilated body parts were found in the water.
"It was a monster which needed to be removed."
WHOPPER: A digger was needed to drag the beast out of the pond
