A DELIVERY cyclist has died in a freak accident after she was struck by a window frame that fell more than 180ft on to her.

TRAGIC: The woman was killed by a falling window pane

The passing woman was knocked off her bike and killed instantly by the blow.

Tragic photographs show the dead cyclist sprawled outside the entrance with blood running from her severe head injury.

Her electric bike was left where she fell – her uniform baseball cap was knocked off her head by the impact.

Several lunch boxes lay strewn about undelivered.

Strangely the pane of glass that struck her was not damaged.

This was despite falling nearly 200ft from the upscale block of flats in the Wuchang district of Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei province, in China.

The victim’s grieving cousin, Wang, said the deceased was a 45-year-old migrant worker from Henan province who had moved away full of hope for a better life.

She had started to work as delivery woman only one month before.

An investigation is underway to find out what happened.

Two workers as well as the owner of the apartment were taken by police for questioning.

But an employee from the building’s property management office said the window fell from an apartment that was being remodelled.

China has a poor health and safety record, with deadly escalators, collapsing building and fire traps regularly making the news.

One woman even died after spending a month inside a broken down lift.
