JURGEN KLOPP is considering leaving Daniel Sturridge out of tonight’s Europa League clash with Borussia Dortmund.
The Liverpool boss is weighing up the shock decision as he looks to get one over his former club.
Sturridge was not at his best against Spurs on Sunday and Klopp is considering putting him on the bench in a bold move.
The German boss could turn to 20-year-old Belgium striker Divock Origi to lead the line against the Bundesliga side.
Klopp returned to the Westfalenstadion yeserday for the first time since leaving in the summer for a frenzied press conference ahead of tonight’s Europa League clash.
The German is still adored by the fans of the club.
“That is absolutely bulls***. My father loved me overall but when we played something against each other he wanted to beat me.
“I needed 15 years to beat him for the first time but that wasn’t his problem and there was no doubt about our relationship.
“It’s a game, still, even if people are not always aware of it.
“I know a lot of people who will be happy to see me again, but it’s not the right situation to see friends. I have no problem if someone wants to hug me – if I know him!
“At the end it’s a football game.”
Liverpool are the underdogs against the German side, who are pushing Bayern Munich all the way in the Bundesliga.
Klopp added: “If we are not good tomorrow it will be easy for Dortmund but why should I think about this.
“We have the highest mountain to climb, but it is possible.
“I don’t think about my situation for not one second. It is better to be here than, I don’t know, North Korea or something.”
