JURGEN KLOPP admits his makeshift Liverpool team surprised him with their dominant performance against Stoke yesterday.
IMPRESSED: Klopp was surprised by his side
With the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash against Borussia Dortmund to come on Thursday, Klopp gave full Premier League debuts to Kevin Stewart and Sheyi Ojo.
Both were impressive, with Ojo setting up Daniel Sturridge to put Liverpool in front after Bojan Krkic had cancelled out Alberto Moreno's fine opener.
Divock Origi then continued his fine form to complete the rout with a quick fire second half double.
Klopp said: "For a team that has never played together, it was brilliant.
"I thought we would have more problems.
"I thought it was a formation that could win, but not like this."
The result lifted Liverpool above Stoke, with the Potters conceding four goals for the first time all season.
Boss Mark Hughes rued uncharacteristic defensive lapses.
He said: "Unfortunately for us the story of the game was our inability to stop balls coming into our box.
"And when they did come into our box, we lacked the ability to clear them or defend them correctly."
