YOU might never want to get back in the water after seeing this shocking clip.
A peaceful river ride turned nasty when this kayaker was ravaged by a beast lurking in the depths.
The man, armed with his fishing rod, was just paddling along in his boat enjoying the beautiful scenery when he caught the attention of a much larger animal.
Catching the horrifying moment on a head-cam, the man clearly had no idea what was about to happen.
Suddenly out of nowhere there was a violent splash in the water and an enormous alligator reared up into the air.
The massive reptile launched itself onto the man’s kayak and he can be heard screaming and swearing in horror.
Then he began to paddle backwards in a frenzied bid to remove himself from danger.
Although little is known about the gob-smacking event, the footage was filmed in Florida and shared on American news site Sun Senintel before being posted on Liveleak with a bizarre classical soundtrack.
Thankfully the man survived the attack and lives to tell the tale.
He revealed that he initially thought the splash was caused by harmless sea bass.
He told Sun Sentinel: "Then I saw the tail of gator swim under the kayak, then I knew what it was.
"After that my reaction was to get out of there."
It’s not the first time that someone has been attacked by a creature of the deep.
