The Voice contestant Alejandro Fuentes shot dead just days after Christina Grimmie's death

A SINGER from The Voice has been shot dead – just days after another contestant from the talent show was gunned down.

Alejandro “Jano” Fuentes was blasted in the head three times after a gunman ambushed his car.
The wannabe, who appeared on the first season of the Mexican version of the show, was killed as he celebrated his 45th birthday with friends.
The attack in Chicago happened less than week after the death of Christina Grimmie, 22, who appeared on The Voice USA.

She was also shot three times while signing autographs at a concert venue in Orlando.
Fuentes was getting into a car outside his performing arts school when the attacker shot him.
Police are investigating if it was an attempted carjacking or robbery.

Christina Grimmie was murdered by shop worker Kevin Loibi, 27, who was infatuated with her.
He shot her as she held out her arms to hug him during the meet and greet session.
Then he killed himself after being tackled by Grimmie’s brother Marcus, who tried to save his sister.
