Jordan Henderson: Why Liverpool couldn't break down Man United at Anfield

JORDAN HENDERSON says Liverpool are frustrated after their goalless draw with Manchester United.

A fifth Premier League win on the bounce would have seen the Reds draw level with early leaders Manchester City.

But it wasn't to be as Jurgen Klopp's men were held by a well-organised United side at Anfield.

And Henderson reckons he and his team-mates didn't do themselves justice on the night, believing that they maybe even tried too hard to force a breakthrough.

"We didn't play to the level we are capable of.

"We didn't create many clear cut chances and we could have been a little more decisive.

"We didn't start the game great but we grew into it. I felt we dominated the second half but didn't create that clear cut chance.

"I am not sure if it was nerves but maybe we tried to force it. At the end of the day we kept a clean sheet, they came and did a job."
