THE FA have been urged to crack down on Jose Mourinho for his comments about referee Anthony Taylor.
Now former World Cup ref Howard Webb says Mourinho deserves to be charged.
“I thought Anthony was put under unnecessary and significant pressure by what was said by Jose,” said Webb.

“He would have known it would have oxygenated the debate. Focusing the attention on a referee is simply mind games and trying to gain an advantage.
“He was asked about it in a press conference but he knows he should have batted that off with a straight bat.
“Jurgen Klopp wouldn’t speak about the ref when he was asked.”
“In 2011 Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti were both censured for saying that I was good ref and they were pleased with my appointment.

“Undoubtedly Anthony Taylor would’ve had things in his mind. He would’ve been aware of what had been said.
“He would be aware that there was extra pressure on him, which wasn’t helpful.
“It was fairly significant. I can’t remember as much talk about a referee before a game for quite some time as there was involving Anthony Taylor’s appointment for Man U v Liverpool.”
