Massive Godzilla-like monster bigger than a human causes panic

A LIZARD bigger than a person has been filmed feeding in astonishing footage by terrified deep-sea divers.

The massive sea creature has been dubbed "Godzilla" for its gigantic size and terrifying power.

The monster lizard, known as a marine iguana, can be seen digging its nose into the sand searching for its lunch.

The phenomenal footage has stunned viewers – showing the seven-foot beast feasting in the Pacific Ocean.

The hungry lizard was filmed by Steve Winkworth as it prowled like a cynical hunter before surfacing for air.

The video has since had over 600,000 views on YouTube.

But much of the fear was unwarranted as marine iguanas are vegetarians.

The creatures are experts at sea floor algae foraging and can dive up to nine metres deep.

The footage comes just days after an alligator bigger than a car was caught eating cows.

And a monster python was filmed dragging a huge monkey into the bushes.
